After breakfast drive to Ankara and visit the mausoleum of the founder of the Republic, Ataturk. Visit the museum before departing for Cappadocia taking a picturesque trip along Salt Lake. Overnight at MDC Cave Hotel or Yusuf Yigitoglu Konagi. (B, D)

Full day excursion in Cappadocia beginning with a trip to the Kaymakli Underground City. Marvel at the sheer determination of its past inhabitants with the labyrinth of tunnels and rooms. Continue onto the Open-Air Museum in Goreme, and natural fortress in Uchisar. Lunch in cave restaurant included. Optional show with dinner. MDC Cave / Yusuf Yigitoglu Konagi. (B, L)

On the way to Pamukkale visit the 13th century Seljukian masterpiece Sultanhan Caravanserai, which was an early form of a motor inn. Continue onto Konya to visit the Mausoleum of Mevlana, who is attributed to starting the culture and religion of the Whirling Dervishes. Overnight at Adempira Hotel. (B, D)

Morning visit to the ancient spa retreat of Hierapolis. Highlights include the Apollo Temple, magnificent Necropolis graveyard and the restorative Lime Cascades running down the calcium build up. Continue on to Selcuk to visit the Temple of Artemis “one of the seven wonders of the ancient world”. Drive to Izmir for overnight at Kaya Prestige Hotel. (B, D)

Morning tour to Ephesus and visit its magnificent library, theatre and temples. Lunch at nomadic tent in Selcuk followed by sightseeing of the traditional Turkish village. Return to Izmir for overnight. Kaya Prestige Hotel. (B, L, D)

Transfer to either Kusadasi port (for those who wish to take ferry to Greek island of Samos) or Izmir airport. (B)
