Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, meet and greet before transferring to your hotel. Rest of your day at leisure. Overnight in Cairo at Kempinski Nile.

After breakfast, begin a full day tour exploring the most famous sites of Cairo. Starting with the Pyramids at Giza, this tour will show just how skilled the workers were while building the Pyramids and Sphinx. Admire the sheer size of these magnificent and majestic structures and you wonder about their origins. After a lunch stop, continue the afternoon with a visit to the world famous Grand Egyptian Museum. Journey through the different period’s of Egyptian history while staying in the same building. See Tutankhamen’s treasures and other splendours from the Old, Middle and New Kingdom’s. Return to the hotel for overnight. (B)

After breakfast, depart the hotel for the airport for a flight to the southern city of Aswan. On arrival transfer to the Port for embarkation on Nile cruise vessel. Afternoon tour of the local sites including a visit to the High Dam complex, Unfinished Obelisk and the Philae Temple, which, similar to Abu Simbel was dismantled and reconstructed brick by brick when flooding from the new High Dam threatened. Return to the ship for dinner. Overnight in Aswan. Movenpick Royal Lily/ Lotus. (B, L, D)

Enjoy the morning sailing to Kom Ombo to visit the remarkable temple shared by two gods. Admire the symmetry of this complex which has its courts, halls, sanctuaries and rooms duplicated to serve both Sobek and Haroeris. Return to the boat for lunch before continuing onto Edfu overnight. Enjoy the onboard entertainment tonight with traditional music and dancing. (B, L, D)

This morning, visit the Ptolemaic Temple of Horus. This temple is a well persevered example of Egyptian building as it was preserved in an almost perfect state hidden under the sand for decades. Return to the boat for lunch while continuing the sail north towards Luxor. Overnight in Luxor. (B, L, D)

After breakfast on board, disembark for a half day touring the West Bank of the Nile. Enjoy seeing the classic ancient Egyptian sites including the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. After a lunch stop, continue on a private half day tour of the East Bank of the Nile. The temple complex of Karnak and Luxor Temples are greatly revered throughout Egyptian History and once featured prominently in important governmental decisions. Following the tour transfer to the airport for flight to Cairo. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel for overnight. City Stars Hotel. (B)
