On arrival transfer to hotel. Overnight Athens.

Morning pick up from hotel to depart for Corinth Canal (short stop). Drive to Epidaurus and see its acoustically superb Theatre. Continue to the first capital of modern Greece Nafplio for short stop. Continue to Mycenae and visit the Palace of Agamemnon. In the afternoon drive to Olympia for overnight. (B, D)

Visit the archaeological site where the first Olympic Games were held. See the Sanctuary of Zeus, Olympic Stadium and Museum. Drive through Patras and Rion, cross the Corinth Gulf then to Delphi via city of Nafpaktos. Visit the picturesque mountain village of Arachova. Dinner and overnight in Delphi or nearby. (B, D)

In the morning visit the archaeological site and the Museum of Delphi featuring the bronze statue of the Charioteer amongst many other ancient treasures. Drive through the towns of Amphissa, Lamia and Trikala to Kalambaka. Overnight in this small town built at the foot of majestic grey rocks and crowned by the Meteora Monasteries. (B, D)

After breakfast visit the famous monasteries precariously perched on large monolithic rocks. Inside two of them see samples of Byzantine art. Return to Athens hotel passing the monument of the heroic Leonidas at Thermopylae. Drop of at Athens hotel. (B)

After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a guided tour of Athens. See the Constitution Square, Presidential Palace, Olympic Stadium, the Temple of Zeus followed by visit to the Acropolis, its Parthenon as well as Acropolis Museum. Afternoon at leisure. (B)

Morning free in Athens. Afternoon transfer to port for embarkation on the cruise vessel. Departure at 17:00. Take the time to get settled in and explore the ship after departure. (B, D)

Today from 10am till 7pm the opportunity to visit Thessaloniki, Greece’s second largest city famous for its vibrant yet relaxed atmosphere. Opportunity to explore the city remains of Romans, Byzantine, Ottoman and Jewish past. (B, L, D) 

Morning arrival gives you all day in Kusadasi, plenty of time to explore the colourful beach town that is the coastal gateway to the Hellenistic ruins of Ephesus, famed for one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, the Temple of Artemis. An optional excursion on is not to be missed. Discover the ancient monuments which have stood the test of time, particularly the Library of Celsus, Temple of Hadrian and The Theatre. (B, L, D)

Welcome to Greece’s largest island, a place of mystery, myths and legends. There’s the chance to take in the bustling capital Heraklion and some of Crete’s extraordinary archaeology and history. You can also learn more of the art and creativity of the Minoans. Use your shore excursion credit and prebook a visit to the Palace of Knossos, once the home of Europe’s oldest civilisation and the setting for the legend of Greek hero Theseus and the Minotaur. Arrive at 8am to Santorini, with her soaring landscapes, clusters of whitewashed houses in the capital Fira, incredible sunsets and of course the iconic blue-domed church at Oia. And don’t forget to try local fava at one of many restaurants jostling for position at the edge of the caldera. In the evening can explore at leisure or simply relax on deck sipping cocktails or a glass of fine wine. Take advantage of full day on the island as the vessels departs at 22:00 towards Mykonos. Full day in Mykonos. Time for sightseeing or just strolling through the atmospheric Old Town with its immaculate whitewashed houses, winding alleys, lovely little churches and delightful restaurants. You will undoubtedly recognise the picture postcard white windmills sitting side by side, overlooking the sea. Take advantage of the vibrant nightlife as the vessels departs at 02:00. (B, L, D)

Morning arrival at 09:00 at Milos. Time to explore the capital Plaka, 2,000 year old catacombs or simply soak up the sun on the flat rocks of stunning Sarakiniko Beach. The real beauty of this truly gorgeous island is to be found in its stunning landscapes, wind and sea sculptured rock formations, soft sandy beaches, secluded coves and crystal clear aquamarine waters. The island’s most famous export is the Venus de Milo. Evening depart at 18:00 back to Athens . (B, L, D)
