Meet and greet by a representative at Queen Alia airport and transfer to your hotel in Amman.

After breakfast drive to Petra. Visit the ‘Red Rose’ city that is now a UNESCO World Heritage site. Walk through a kilometre long chasm, to see the stunning and dramatic Treasury. Various walks and climbs reveal literally hundreds of buildings, tombs, baths, funerary halls, temples and haunting rock drawings. You can also admire the site’s 3000 seat open air amphitheatre, awe-inspiring in design and brilliant in creativity. You’ll be amazed at the sheer size of this creation which was completely cut out of rock (B, D)

After breakfast, we drive to Madaba the ‘City of Mosaics’, which is home to the famous 6th century mosaic map of Jerusalem. Continue to Mount Nebo, the presumed site of Moses’ death and burial place. Then drive to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth, lying approximately 400 metres below sea level. It is believed to be the site of five biblical cities, and is also renowned for its curative minerals. Dinner and overnight at your hotel near the Dead Sea. (B, D)

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and drive to Amman. Tour the city’s ancient citadel taking in sights such as the Temple of Hercules, the Umayyad Palace and the Byzantine Church. At the foot of the Citadel lies a 6000 seat Roman theatre dating back to 151AD. Dinner and overnight in Amman. (B, D)
