Dalmatian Discovery Cruise - Dubrovnik to Trogir MS Contessa Upper Deck

You will be transferred from Dubrovnik airport to the port, where embarkation begins at 14:00h. Get settled in your cabin before going on a walking tour of Dubrovnik around 17:00h. Walk through Stradun both a street and a square, the most famous place inside the town walls, enlisted as UNESCO’s World Heritage site, where your guide will show you the most interesting sights of Dubrovnik. After returning to ship enjoy a Welcome reception followed by dinner this evening. (WR, D)

Early in the morning enjoy the magic scenery as the ship cruises around Dubrovnik city walls to continue to one of the Elaphiti Islands for a swim stop. Afternoon arrival in Slano, a peaceful fishermen’s village and our starting point to Ston, situated on Peljesac peninsula and once fortified small village famous for its oysters, which we will taste in a a nearby village. The Peljesac peninsula is known as one of the best wine producing regions in Croatia. Overnight and Captain’s dinner on board in Slano. (B, L, T, CD)

In the morning, we head north to the Island of Mljet. Join the Cruise Manager for a stroll to the famous salt lakes in the Mljet National Park. Continue to cruise towards the Korcula island, best known as a birthplace of Marco Polo. Afternoon arrival in Korcula followed by a guided walking tour of this enchanting town surrounded by walls, which is one of the best-preserved medieval cities in the Mediterranean. Overnight in Korcula where you can enjoy a gourmet experience at the multiple restaurants and bars. (B, L)

Sail towards the island of Hvar, with a short break swimming break along the way (if the weather permits.) Lunch on board and set sail for Hvar , a favourite holiday destination for international celebrities. During a walking tour, visit many historical sites, such as St Stephen’s Square and Cathedral, the Arsenal with the theatre built on its first floor. Above the town is the impressive Fortress, Fortica, offering magnificent views over the bay. Free time to explore more and dine on your own. Overnight in one of the harbours of Hvar Island. (B, L) 

Sail to the small island Bisevo to visit the Blue Cave. The possibility of the visit depends on weather conditions; however you will be notified before. Continue to Vis, once a strategic naval Yugoslav base and restricted to the public. Due to this isolation, Vis has a special charm making it interesting to visit. Since the independence of Croatia, the island began opening slowly to the outside world. Some of Europe's largest and greatest naval battles happened in the waters of Vis. We will explore Vis history by military Land Rover Defenders. Overnight in one of the harbors on Vis Island. (B, L) 

Early morning we head towards Milna on the Island of Brac with a swim stop, weather permitting, in one of pristine bays, time to relax and lunch on board. After lunch we arrive in Milna still known as the most beautiful and most protected port on Brac. Explore this Dalmatian town dominated by a Baroque church with a typical Dalmatian bell tower. The interior of the church is rich in valuable paintings by Venetian painters. Overnight in one of the harbours on Brac Island. (B, L, T)

Head towards Trogir with a stop along the way to swim (if the weather permits) with lunch on board. After docking, join a short orientation tour. Trogir is sometimes referred to as “miniature Venice” or a “mini-Dubrovnik” because of its ancient walls, or a “floating museum town” - as it has a masterful architecture. In the late afternoon we will take a ride to Split where you will join a guided tour of the historic old town that takes us to the Palace of the Roman Emperor Diocletian, a UNESCO world heritage site. Free time in Split to explore the city on your own. After an exciting evening, we transfer you to the ship. Overnight in Trogir. (B, L)

After breakfast it’s time to disembark no later than 9 am. You will be transferred to Split airport. (B)
