Croatia & Slovenia Express with Cruise Trogir to Dubrovnik

After breakfast, travel to Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. Enjoy an orientation tour of the old city center highlighting the picturesque open air Central Market, the Three Bridges, the Baroque Town Hall, and Robba’s Fountain. Continue onward to Bled. Overnight at Kompas / Bled Rose / Ribno or similar. B, D)

Nestled beside an Alpine lake and surrounded by high peaks, Bled was "discovered" by travellers in the mid 19th century. Today, it is a vibrant, year round resort. A sightseeing tour includes the charming town, lake shore, and panoramic views of Bled Castle, perched on a cliff above the lake. The rest of the day is at leisure. Today’s journey continues to Postojna, home to one of Europe’s largest cave systems. Explore this fascinating underground world aboard a miniature electric train. Then, travel to the elegant seaside town of Opatija and enjoy an orientation tour of this once fashionable 19th century resort, known for its Habsburg era villas. After some free time, continue to Plitvice Lakes, overnight at Jezero or similar. (B, D)

After breakfast, enjoy a walking tour of the lower lakes in Plitvice Lakes National Park, a stunning natural wonder with sixteen terraced lakes connected by cascading waterfalls and surrounded by lush forest. After the tour, travel to Split for an overnight stay, at Hotel Corner / Art or similar. (B, D)

In the morning, enjoy a sightseeing tour featuring the historic inner city, built around the Roman Emperor Diocletian’s Palace, a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site. See the remnants of Split’s Roman heritage, its Renaissance and Gothic structures, Jupiter’s Temple, the Peristyle, and the Cathedral. The rest of the day at leisure. After breakfast, transfer to Trogir port. Embarkation begins at 14:00h. Get settled in your cabin before going on a short orientation walk through this medieval city. Trogir is sometimes referred to as “miniature Venice” or a “mini-Dubrovnik” because of its ancient walls, or a “floating museum town” - as it has a masterful architecture including some stunning Venetian palaces. After returning to ship enjoy a Welcome reception followed by dinner this evening. (B, WR, D)

Head towards Split and join a guided tour visit the seafront promenade and Roman Emperor Diocletian’s Palace. The historical center of the city is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. See the remnants of Split’s Roman heritage. After head towards Milna on the Island of Brac with a swim stop, weather permitting, in one of pristine bays. Lunch on board. Then disembark in Milna and take a ride with us to the Olive Oil Museum where the guide shares with you the story of this island’s traditions and history and tasting of traditional homemade olive oil. Overnight in one of the harbours on the island of Brac. (B, L)

Cruise towards the island of Vis, once a strategic naval Yugoslav base and restricted to the public. Due to this isolation, Vis has a special charm “the Mediterranean as it once was” making it interesting to visit. Since the independence of Croatia, the island began opening slowly to the outside world. Some of Europe's largest and greatest naval battles had happened in the waters of Vis. Vis Island holds many historic secrets explore Vis history by military Land Rover Defenders. Overnight in one of the harbors on the island of Vis. (B, L)

Sail towards Bisevo island to visit the Blue Cave, a magnificent natural phenomenon on the islet Bisevo just in front of the town of Komiza. The possibility of visit will depend on weather conditions; however, you will be notified of this before. Continue to Hvar, take a swim break and continue sailing during lunch. Upon arrival in the afternoon, disembark and join a guided tour of the town of Hvar see many historical sights of the town, such as St Stephen’s Square and Cathedral, the Arsenal with the theatre built on its first floor. Above Hvar Town is the impressive fortress Fortica offering magnificent views over the bay and Pakleni islands. Overnight in Hvar or Stari Grad. (B, L)

Early in the morning sail for the island of Korcula, with swimming stop, if weather permits, in one of pristine bays, time to relax and lunch on board. Continue towards Korcula, the most preserved medieval town, thought to be the birthplace of the famous explorer Marco Polo. We will spend the night here. Take a walking tour of Korcula which takes you through its narrow, cobbled streets full of history. Evening is free to explore the town on your own. (B, L)

Head further south to the Island of Mljet. Join the Cruise Manager for a stroll to the famous salt lakes in the Mljet National Park. Alternatively rent bicycles, scooters, or kayaks to explore the National Park or island on your own. Lunch on board and departure for a small village called Slano on the mainland. Slano is a peaceful fishermen’s village, and the starting point to Ston, situated on Peljesac peninsula and once fortified small village famous for its oysters which we will taste in a nearby village. Peljesac peninsula is known as one of the best wine producing regions in Croatia. Tonight, enjoy Captain’s dinner and overnight in Slano. (B, L, T, CD)

Cruise to Elaphiti Islands with swim stop on one of the secluded bays. Continue to Dubrovnik cruising alongside the old city walls. After docking, join a guided tour at the historical center of Dubrovnik, walk through Stradun both a street and a square, the most famous place inside the town walls, enlisted as UNESCO’s World Heritage site. Your guide will show you the most interesting sights of the Old Town. After city tour, free time to explore the city, visit City Walls, the Franciscan Monastery with Europe's second oldest pharmacy, the Rector's Palace, and the Cathedral, or take a boat ride to Lokrum island or take the cable car to the top of the Mount Srd.
