Best of Croatia - Private Tour

Upon arrival at Zagreb airport you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Overnight in Zagreb at Hotel Dubrovnik or similar. 

After breakfast, meet with your local guide for a walking city tour of the Croatian lively capital city. In the afternoon, depart towards Opatija. Upon arrival , take an orientation tour with your tour director, who will present the city’s rich history and hidden gems. Rest of the day is at leisure to explore the city on your own or enjoy a relaxing afternoon on one of the local beaches. Overnight in Opatija at Hotel Bristol or similar. (B)

After breakfast, explore the largest peninsula in Croatia – Istra. First stop will be at the city of Pula where you will be met by a local guide and taken to visit Pula Amphitheatre, one of the six largest surviving Roman Arenas in the world. Continue to Rovinj, a small and charming former island. Overnight in Opatija at Hotel Bristol or similar. (B)

After breakfast, drive south, inland to the National Park of Plitvice Lakes. Listed under UNESCO  in 1979, its main attraction is the 16 named lakes and the waterfalls created by travertine. Experience the beauty of its flora and fauna on your walking tour presented by your local park guide.  Continue to the city of Zadar, where your tour director will take you on a short orientation tour of the Sea  Organ and Greeting to the  Sun by architect Nikola Bašić,  Overnight in Zadar at Hotel Kolovare or similar. After breakfast, continue south along the Dalmatian Coast to the small island of Trogir. The local guide will show you the old town, including the Cathedral of St.  Lawrence and Kamerlengo Fortress. Continue to Split. The second largest city of Croatia, Split is famous for  Diocletian's Palace, built by the Roman Emperor Diocletian. Overnight in Split at Hotel Globo or similar. (B)

After breakfast travel to the southernmost part of Croatia and the city of Dubrovnik. Known in the past as The Republic of Ragusa, the narrow streets of the old town, the historical buildings and delicious seafood restaurants attract numerous visitors throughout the year. Overnight in Dubrovnik at Hotel Lero or similar. (B)

After breakfast, enjoy a walking tour where the local guide will take you through the city’s cobblestone streets. Enter the Franciscan monastery with the 3rd oldest still functioning pharmacy in the world. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Dubrovnik at Hotel Lero or similar. (B)

After breakfast, depart from Dubrovnik and head north to board the ferry to the island of Hvar. Upon arrival meet you local guide for a city tour. Return to your hotel and rest of the day will be at leisure. Overnight in Hvar at Hotel Amfora or similar. (B)

After breakfast take the ferry from Hvar to Split and will continue to Sibenik. The main attraction is the Cathedral of St. Jacob. After some free time, head back to the country’s capital, Zagreb. Overnight in Zagreb at Hotel Dubrovnik or similar. (B)

After breakfast, transfer to the airport. (B)
