20 Day Tour from Johannesburg to Cape Town
Begin your African adventure with Zimbabwe, where the power of the Zambezi River and the thunder of Victoria Falls set the stage for an unforgettable journey. From here, discover the breathtaking beauty of South Africa and Namibia—two destinations filled with stunning landscapes, incredible wildlife, and rich cultural traditions. Your journey leads to the vibrant streets of Johannesburg and continues to the towering red dunes of Sossusvlei and the wide open savannahs of Etosha National Park. Travel through the remote, otherworldly Namib Desert, home to some of the tallest sand dunes on the planet. Learn about the Indigenous Damaraland (Bushman) and Himba communities and learn how both people and wildlife have adapted to the desert’s extreme conditions—brought to life through 10,000 year old rock carvings and unforgettable storytelling with locals. Experience the charming, German influenced coastal town of Swakopmund, beautifully situated between the Atlantic Ocean and the desert. Then visit Etosha National Park, a wildlife lover’s paradise, where you’ll have the chance to see elephants, giraffes, zebras, rhinos, wildcats, oryx, kudu, pink flamingos, and many more remarkable species. Your journey ends in Cape Town, where you’ll enjoy spectacular views from the Cape of Good Hope, see African Penguins playing in the surf at Boulders Beach, and have free time for wine tasting or whale watching along the Cape coast. From dramatic desert landscapes to lively seaside towns, this Small Group Discovery invites you to uncover the magic, wonder, and soul of Southern Africa—an adventure you’ll never forget.

These vehicles are not air-conditioned and have high ground clearance, requiring some agility when getting in and out.Several travel days include more than five hours of driving on gravel roads that may be very rough and uneven. Visitors to Namibia are encouraged to consult their healthcare provider regarding malaria prophylaxis. For approximately one month each year (typically late July to August), Table Mountain Aerial Cableway is closed for annual maintenance. In these instances, a private tour of Kirstenbosch National Garden will be included in its place. All game viewing is done at your own risk and requires a signed liability waiver prior to travel.
