Prince Edward Island may be Canada’s smallest province, but it’s big on history. With time at leisure, perhaps visit the island’s capital of Charlottetown to delve into the region’s past. Alternatively, you may prefer to see the Anne of Green Gables homestead and enjoy time at this well-known literary landmark, set in pretty surrounds (additional expense).

Spend the day exploring Sydney and its stunning surrounds on Cape Breton Island in Nova Scotia. The island's French-influenced name contrasts its strong Celtic heritage.
