Charming Turkey Small Group Tour

Upon your arrival, you will be met by our representative before transfer to your hotel. Overnight at Arena Hotel Old Town or similar.

After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a guided tour to Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque and the Grand Bazaar. The day ends with an overnight stay in Istanbul. (B)

After breakfast, transfer to airport for the flight to Kayseri. Upon arrival visit Turasan wine factory and taste the wines of Cappadocia. Enjoy a jeep safari adventure, driving from Goreme to Cavusin through Love Valley, with frequent photo stops enroute. On arrival at Cavusin town, walk up to the old village, carved into the rocks and see the Church of St. John the Baptist, one of the oldest cave churches in Cappadocia. Next, head to Ortahisar via the Rose Valley. After visiting the picturesque Ortahisar Castle, continue to Uzengi Valley, driving along the brook bank, to view the pigeon houses carved into the rocks. Continue to Mustafapasa Village (Sinasos), a former Greek town that was inhabited by the Greeks until the population exchange in 1924. Enjoy time at leisure before driving back to Goreme via Pancarlik, and the Pigeons and Babaccik Valleys. Transfer to boutique Hotel Alfina Cave or similar in Cappadocia. (B, D)

Early this morning, an optional hot-air balloon tour is available. Then, enjoy a full-day excursion in Cappadocia including visits to the Kaymakli Underground City, Open Air Museum in Goreme and natural fortress in Uchisar. Enjoy lunch in a cave restaurant to taste the famous pottery kebab. There will be the opportunity to discover and understand the rich history behind local handicrafts such as hand-made carpets, Turkish tiles, onyx and pottery. This evening, an optional tour with a Turkish show and dinner is available. Overnight stay in Cappadocia. (B, L) 

This morning, depart early for Pamukkale and visit the 13th century Seljukian masterpiece Sultanhan Caravanserai before arriving in Konya. After visiting the Mausoleum of Mevlana, we continue our drive to Pamukkale for an overnight stay at Doga Thermal Hotel or similar. (B, D)

After breakfast, visit the ancient Hierapolis with the magnificent Necropolis, graveyard and the lime cascade. We then continue our drive to Selcuk to visit the Temple of Artemis, ‘one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. Proceed to Izmir and overnight at Kaya Thermal Hotel or similar. (B, D)

This morning, drive to the ancient city of Ephesus and visit its magnificent library, theatre and temples. Enjoy lunch in a nomadic tent in Selcuk and taste Turkish gozleme. Continue to the quaint village of Sirince, one of the most beautiful in Turkey. Enjoy shopping at the bazaar and taste the delicious wines of the village. Return to Izmir for overnight stay. (B, L, D)

Early departure for Bergama to visit the Asklepion with its well-preserved remains before continuing to Troy; the site where the legendary Trojan War took place. Drive to Canakkale for an overnight stay. (B, D) 

After breakfast, cross the Dardanelles, then continue to Gallipoli to visit Anzac Cove, Nek, Conk Bair, Lone Pine and the 57th Regiment Memorial. Arrival in Istanbul for an overnight stay at Arena Hotel located in the old town or similar. (B)

We will start our tour from Spice Market area learning about spices which dominated Ottoman cuisine. We will try sherbet (spice juice), Turkish Delight and nuts. We will experience the smells and the colours of Istanbul…Then we will walk through Galata Bridge to Galata area. We will stop to taste ethnic dishes from all regions of Anatolia. Galata district is coming a cutural center with design shops, heute cuture designers, wine cellars, boutique hotels.We taste Turkish coffee cooked on chacoal, maybe sesamy pretzel and roasted chestnuts on the way to Beyoglu. Beyoglu has little labrinth like streets with hidden tastes of different Greek mezes, Blacksea style Turkish pizza, fried mussels, pickles, tripe soup etc. We will conclude out tour with desert, either mastic rice pudding ot asure or elastic ice cream or Beyoglu chocolate or tasting all of them if you have a sweet tooth.(B)

After breakfast, transfer to the airport at 09:00 or 13:00. (B)
