Explore incredible worlds above and below the water through some of Central America's best on this 45-day adventure. Amble down the Yucatan Peninsula to the island paradise of Caye Caulker, then cut inland to the lush jungle around Tikal, cruise to the wide river Rio Dulce and end up among the clouds in Panajachel and Antigua. Continue to the relaxing beach vibes of the Pacific Coast of El Salvador, spot colourful birds perched on the historic facades of Suchitoto and explore the historic cities of Leon and Granada in Nicaragua. Stand in the shadow of mighty Arenal Volcano and spot sloths among the canopy of Monteverde, then admire the towns and steamy jungles of Costa Rica and Panama, stopping off at the stunning islands of Bocas del Toro. With plenty of moments to meet the locals and try the region’s varied cuisines, you can’t go wrong on this carefree Central American journey.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

1. Your adventure begins with a welcome meeting at 6 pm on Day 1 in Playa del Carmen. There are no activities planned for the final day so you may depart at any time.

2. A single supplement is available if you’d prefer not to share a room on this trip. The single supplement applies to all nights on your trip and is subject to availability. Please speak to your booking agent for further information.

3.As per updated Nicaragua entry requirements, customers are currently required to supply a copy of their passport front page to their booking agent no later than 15 days prior to departure.

4. Should you have any questions or need assistance with the Honduras pre-registration, your leader will be able to assist on Day 1 of your tour. For more information, visit the ‘Passports, visas and entry requirements’ section of the ‘Essential Trip Information.

5. IMPORTANT FOR UK PASSPORT HOLDERS: You must obtain a multiple entry visa to Honduras before traveling on this trip. Due to reported delays in securing embassy appointments, we recommend checking appointment availability with the Honduran Embassy before confirming your travel plans. See the Passports, visas and entry requirements section in your Essential Trip Information for details.

6. To enter Costa Rica travellers must show proof of intent to exit the country to immigration authorities. Since this trip exits Costa Rica via a land border crossing as part of your itinerary, Intrepid can prepare and send you an Intent to Exit Letter with your trip's details. Please request this letter at the time of booking.

7. Under Honduran law, travelers under age 21 who are traveling unaccompanied or with only one parent must have written, notarized permission to travel (in Spanish) from the non-traveling parent(s) or guardian(s). Please check with your local embassy or consulate for specific requirements.

8. If you plan to travel with high-quality cameras or binoculars, please reference the packing section of your Essential Trip Information for details about Nicaragua's restrictions and regulations on these items.

9. Entry and exit fees apply and are payable locally. These amounts are in addition to your trip payment. Please refer to the Passports, Visas & Entry Requirements section of your Essential Trip Information for fee information and payment requirements.
